HERS raters must complete a participation agreement in order to submit homes and receive incentives through UGI Save Smart New Homes.
Submissions must be completed and reported by an eligible and certified HERS rater under an approved HERS Provider.
HERS raters must remain in good standing and maintain a “Passing” quality assurance score to submit homes to UGI Save Smart New Homes.
All submissions of incentive and participation applications will be through the approved online submission process.
Each home must be ENERGY STAR certified or at least 15% more energy efficient than current codes and federal standards require, as documented by a HERS rating.
Incentive applications will be made by the HERS rater on behalf of the builder via the Compass tracking system, which will accept uploads of energy models and calculate the associated savings and incentive value.
All applications must be made via PSD’s Compass software platform and must include:
The REM/Rate .blg file for the home
An .mdb file generated from REM/Rate
The final HERS Rating or Energy Star Certification Date
The UGI gas meter number
UGI Save Smart New Homes will verify quarterly that each home submitted by participating raters has also been submitted to their HERS provider to meet all of RESNET’s national standards. This process ensures that participating raters are undergoing not only UGI Save Smart New Homes’ QA, but QA as required by their Accredited HERS Provider Agreements.
